Yeah, I definitely didn't think I'd be posting without it being assigned to me, but here I am. I can't help it!
So far I like this blogging thing. I used to have a Myspace, and the only thing I ever cared about was being able to customize my own page, and now, look! I have my own page to customize. :) The only thing I can't figure out is how to put up a slideshow. I've been trying to get the gadget to work for two days now, and I give up. So, I resorted to posting some pictures on the side instead. My plan is to take them down and post new ones every now and then, but we'll see if I actually follow through with that. haha Like I said before, my friends and family mean the world to me, and those pictures give you look at my family (everyone always says my mom, sister, and I look alike, and my brother and dad look alike, see if you agree) and some of my closest friends. I'm especially in love with the "oreo" picture. Claire and Ashley (the girls in the picture) were obsessed with it for a very long time. On that particular instance, we were on Kirkwood Ave., which is super popular in Bloomington, and we stopped in a new candy store, Campus Candy. We thought we'd try it out, so we went around the store with the little plastic bag they give you and filled our bags with chocolate, jelly beans, and other candies. I expected to pay maybe 8 or 10 dollars, and had decided that would be fine since it was almost finals week, but when we got to the counter, my total was $21.13, and Ashley's was $19! I was astounded, and we vowed to never go back.
I'm not entirely sure why you needed to know that entire story, you probably don't even care, but I think it's somewhat of an entertaining story. So, if you're reading this, hopefully it put a smile on your face or at least distracted you from whatever you were doing for 5 minutes.
Also, if anyone has any idea how to make the slideshow gadget work, let me know! I love pictures, and would love to put up many more :)
Hi Taylor - I love that you posted some pics and your story did produce a smile. It reminded me of my family and how every meal seemed to bring with it some sort of price comparison of this veggie or that. Now living away from my parents for so long, I miss those family meals, even with the pricing conversation. :)
ReplyDeleteI think that I am going to try out the slideshow but I haven't had the chance to dig into it yet. If I figure it out before you have yours up, I will let you know.
